The IEEE Young Professionals committee is an international community of enthusiastic, dynamic, and innovative members and volunteers. Members of this community are interested in elevating their professional image, expanding their global network, connecting with peers locally and giving back to the community.
Any IEEE member who has graduated from their first degree of education in past 15 years is automatically included to be a part of the IEEE Young Professionals, free of charge. Older members can also opt-in if they wish to. Therefore, Young Professionals may include graduate student members, regular members, senior members, or even fellows. IEEE Young Professionals membership is divided across both geographical regions and technical Societies/Councils. To serve the needs of their young professional members, each organizational unit across IEEE recruits young professional volunteers.
