Artificial Intelligence and Process Mining for Enhancing Logistics Services
This workshop explores how the combination of artificial intelligence and process mining can transform logistics services, leading to improved efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Industrial logistics is process-driven, where operations such as parcel routing, warehousing, and delivery are managed as complex workflows. First, the foundational concepts of process mining are introduced, demonstrating how this technique can extract actual execution patterns from event logs to identify delays, optimize resource allocation, and monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Next, it explains how AI technologies can enhance logistics decision-making, including delivery time prediction, dynamic routing, fraud and anomaly detection, and automated unstructured data analysis. By combining process mining and AI, logistics companies will be able to create intelligent feedback loops that continuously learn from operational data, enabling a faster response to disruptions, better cost management, and more transparent service delivery.
